Happiness or Money?

Does money buy you happiness? Or happiness is an abstract thing nowhere connected to money? Or is that if you are happy money and success will follow? The most profoundly confusing questions in life... What to chase? Happiness or Money? 



Well people who have seen much things early in life or who think that in their life just one thing is creating havoc, with their life experiences feel that just money can buy you happiness... it’s the only means for happiness... or they feel that with money all their life problems will be solved... may be yes... may be existing problems will be solved but the different kind of problems will arise like not getting enough contentment with life or work.. even after using ever bit of energy instead of being happy of having a satisfied day at work they feel sad for the life they have!! They convince themselves that life is all about money and material happiness and they start a race which they think they cannot quit until secured which they never will be... and at the end of life they feel that they have wasted their lives running... just running... for them here is a dialogue from ZNMD which I love between Laila and Arjun - 


Laila: Mai tumhe judge nhi kr rahi, bus puch rahi hu! Kya paise kamane se tumhe bahut khusi milti hai?

Arjun: Mai aath saal ka tha jab mere dad guzar gaye, Meri ma ke liye sirf der sara karz chod kr gaye!! Bahut jaldi samaj gaya tha ke ye duniya sirf aur sirf paiso se chalti hai!! As simple as that..

Laila: I understand Arjun... lekin tumne mere sawal ka jawab nhi diya...

Arjun: HAA... mujhe paiso se khusi milti hai..

Laila: Toh phir uss din tum roye kyu the? Dive ke baad? Kabhi paycheck milte waqt tumhari aakh me aasu aye hai? Nahi na? Think about it... Jab itna kuch achieve kiya hai toh kya khush ho? Agar aaj bhi kisi cheez ki kami mehsus hoti hai toh wo kya hai? Un cheezo ke liye waqt nikalo jinse tumhe sach much khusi milti hai... Like cooking...

Arjun: Yeah, that’s the plan... I mean 40 k baad I’ll retire and…

Laila: Dude tumhe kaise pata hai ke tum 40 tak zinda rahoge? SEZIE THE DAY MY FRIEND!! Pehle iss din ko puri tarah se jeo phir 40 ke baare me soochna…


Well then there are people that think that happiness is an abstract thing nowhere connected to money... this are the people who are most offend considered as DAY-DREAMERS and the NON PRACTICAL one’s… may be they have seen the life full with colours… or even if they haven’t they choose to see good in everything… they sometimes seems to lack reality too.. if you are happy money and success will follow but practically as we see around we know that the same isn’t true for everyone... cause you being happy can’t assure you that it will pay your bills… or take care of your expenses or family that you have to run and even if you don’t have any expenses or family not necessarily you can afford the same… 



Then what should we chase? Happiness or Money or Both? Well according to me both… cause only money will make you just robots or zombie’s… you just keep running for things from things... and at the end you aren’t tired but frustrated with your life... and only happiness doesn’t guarantee you anything... don’t get me wrong but only chasing happiness means you should have to be on a great extend be depend on luck.. which might work but there are great chances that it won’t…

I think money can impact your happiness positively if you know how to use it in a right way... So, the question isn’t how much money to make or have but what we do with the money that’s available to us... 

When money is spent on other’s instead of your own self the satisfaction is of altogether another level. And when one invests in life experiences rather materialistic things it’s more everlasting and profound... here, life experiences can vary from travelling, adventure, activities, developing new hobbies or in reading a book or Netflix and chill… just anything… So, choose wisely on where to spent and on what to spent… cause even if you make money believe me it doesn’t guarantee you happiness…!!

FAILING WELL

Today I saw two small girls playing badminton; a very common game.  The two girls were playing with a lot of effort. Hitting hard with the racket, running for the cork, teaching each other and scolding each other. But they didn’t know how to play they were making small baby steps in learning it.. This continued for days,  2-3 hours each day. Their temperament was motivating.. Even when their cork didn’t hit the racket for this long they keep on playing and telling each other techniques that even the other barely knew (Literal trial and error). And even when they hit the cork, it flew in some other direction rather than where they were targeting.. In spite of this they motivated each other picking up the cork and giving it another try hoping this time somehow it would work and they would learn it..
